Takeaway Orders

Takeaway order management software, tracked from order to pickup

Counter and phone orders sit right alongside dine-in: they go to the kitchen display, carry a timeline from Placed to Picked Up, and bill in Cash, Card or UPI.

A restaurant storefront in the evening with lit windows, an awning and outdoor seating

Takeaway orders are easy to lose track of in a busy restaurant. They don't have a table, so they don't show up on the floor plan, and the guest waiting at the counter is the first to notice when a parcel has been forgotten.

KhaanaPina treats Takeaway as its own order type. Your staff enter it, it goes to the kitchen display like any other order, and it carries a timeline — Placed, Preparing, Ready, Picked Up — with a timestamp at every step.

Why it matters

Takeaway that doesn't get lost

A timestamp at every step

Each takeaway order records when it was placed, started, ready and picked up, so you can see where an order stands and how long each step took.

Same kitchen display

Takeaway tickets land on the kitchen display with the same colour-coded timers as dine-in, so the kitchen isn't juggling a separate paper pile for parcels.

Takeaway on its own

Filter the orders list by Takeaway to see those orders by themselves, and each customer's order history shows which of their orders were takeaway.

How it works

How a takeaway order moves

01

Take the order

Staff enter the takeaway order at the counter or from a phone call, add any kitchen notes and capture the customer's name and mobile number.

02

The kitchen prepares it

Send to KOT puts it on the kitchen display. The order moves from Placed to Preparing to Ready, with each step timestamped.

03

Bill and hand over

Settle the bill in Cash, Card or UPI, and the order is marked Picked Up when the guest collects it.
